We all have music that takes us somewhere. A place, a person, a night we thought would never end, someone we lost, someone who stayed, or a moment we didn't realise would one day become a memory.

For ShaneyB, those moments became more than memories. They became music.

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From childhood and school discos, through dancing, performing, clubs and nightlife, and eventually into DJing, music became the soundtrack to different chapters of my life. Along the way came incredible nights, friendships, relationships, unforgettable people and experiences that would stay with me long after the music stopped.

For years, I played and lived inside other people's music. Eventually, I wanted to tell some of my own stories.

ShaneyB grew from that idea.

The music I create today is shaped by where I've been and what I've experienced. Festivals and city nights, friendship and chosen family, love and loss, hope, belonging, difficult times and the moments that remind us why we keep going.

I write the songs and shape the creative direction and production, contributing backing vocals across much of the music and stepping forward on lead vocals where the song calls for it.

The music I make now comes from my own life and the things I've lived through. Some of it goes back years, some of it is more recent, but it all belongs to the same story.

Music is part of that story, but it isn't the whole of it.
 

ShaneyB is about where I've been, who I've known, what I've lost, what I've learned and what still lies ahead.

Some memories make you smile. Some stay with you for different reasons. Some only make sense years later. They all become part of who you are.

I don't want the music to pretend life is perfect, because it isn't. I want it to carry something real. The nights you never forget. The people you miss. The friendships that last. The difficult chapters. The moments that change you. And the reasons you keep moving forward.

ShaneyB is about what has been, what is happening now, and whatever comes next. The music will continue to change as life changes. New experiences, new memories and new chapters will become part of it.

Because this was never meant to be the story of one album.

It is the journey of ShaneyB. Past, present and future.

There is still more life to live, more music to make and more stories to tell.
